What is the Software Report?

The Software Report feature collaborates seamlessly with CyberSmart Active Protect Desktop to meticulously identify all software and their respective versions across each device. Subsequently, it assesses each software version against our system, flagging any instances of known vulnerabilities.

This feature is located at the bottom of the Device Details page.

How does the Software Report operate?

Our system maintains an intricate understanding of your installed software and versions on devices. It then cross-references this information with our library of over 25,000 CVE’s, allowing us to promptly highlight any identified vulnerabilities.

Understanding CVE Vulnerabilities:

CVE vulnerabilities are derived from the National Vulnerability Database (NVD) XML feeds provided by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. This information incorporates supplementary data from vendor statements, as well as additional data and modules furnished by vendors, alongside the NVD CVE data.

This information can be viewed in its entirety in the Reports section of the dashboard under the Desktop Software Report. This section shows all packages highlighting which packages have known vulnerabilities.
