How To Uninstall New & Improved Active Protect (Mac)
If you are looking to uninstall the CyberSmart Active Protect (CAP) application on your Apple Mac, you can do it in a number of ways.
Firstly you will need to quit the application. This can be done by right clicking the app icon in the menu bar and then select ‘Quit’
You can uninstall the app directly from Finder. Please follow the below steps:
Open Finder
Navigate to your Applications folder, which you can open by clicking Applications in the sidebar of any Finder window. Or choose Go > Applications from the menu bar in Finder.
Use any of these ways to move the app to the Bin:
Drag the app to the Bin.
Select the app and choose File > Move to Bin from the menu bar.
Select the app and press Command-Delete on your keyboard.
If you’re asked for a username and password, enter the username and password for an administrator account on your Mac. This is usually the username and password you use to log in to your Mac.
To delete the app after moving it to the Bin, choose Finder > Empty Bin.
Alternatively, if you have issues with uninstalling using the above method, you can try using the following script. You may be asked to input your admin password when running this.
Open Terminal and type:
sudo /Library/csdaemon/uninstall.sh -c
