How do I check the Status of a User's Device?
Ensuring every device in your organisation is secure is essential for peace of mind. CyberSmart Device Status checks the security of every user in your business, giving you the knowledge they are secure from cyber attacks.
The purpose of checking a user’s device status is to ensure your organisation is hitting the CyberSmart Smart Score. A user’s device status is used to indicate failing device checks and these checks total to give your organisation's overall smart score.
To view a device status, you need to first sign into your CyberSmart Portal Once you are logged in, you’ll need to locate your organisation dashboard tab. This will be located on the left-hand side of the screen as shown in the screenshot below. Once located, click this and you will be taken to your organisation's dashboard.

Under Devices you can check the Status section of the user’s device in question.
If you notice a user’s device is not at Passed/Green, please click on the device in question to see further information on which checks the device is failing. This will take you to another page titled “Device Details Screen” Once you are here you will see information such as the device/machine name, user’s name, app version, OS Release, Device ID and more. However, most important is the section “Steps to fix” which you will see after you have scrolled down.
In this section, you’ll be provided with information on which checks are failing, steps to fix the failing checks and the option to manually resolve the check if you believe this is a false positive, or if this is something you are unable to resolve based on device employment within the company.
If the status is Passed or 8/8 - Below this will be a section showing all the successfully passed checks on the device. Please note that resolving failing checks will result in a higher percentage shown on a device. If a device reaches passed this means there is nothing that needs to be actioned and the device is entirely secure. The aim is to have all devices within your organisation show passed for maximum security.
