How to Check the Last Check-in Date for a Device

How do I check the last checked-in date of a device?

The ‘last checked-in date’ for a device indicates when the application was last opened by the user. This will give a general indication of how often the user is running checks on their device.

The purpose of checking the last checked in date and time of a device is to ensure the CyberSmart Active Protect Application is working as it should be. If a device is failing to check in this could be for a number of reasons, such as the device is running an out of date operating system or software or the user is failing to refresh the checks.

It is important to continuously run the checks to ensure that the device is monitored correctly and maintains compliance. The application will highlight failing checks which also propose security risks. For example, firewalls switch off or automatic updates are disabled.

To view the date and time a device last checked in, you need to sign into your account. Once you are logged in you will be taken to your organisation's dashboard, under Devices it will show the last check in date in the 4th column along.

This will be displayed for every device a user has within your organisation.

If one of the users on the dashboard has not checked in on their device in a while, there may be a message to indicate this such as “Has not Checked In”. Alternatively, the date showing may be days-months-years prior.

In these cases, we recommend reaching out to these users directly and asking them to refresh their application to ensure the device checks in correctly.
